Role: Children's Support Worker
Based: Erdington
Salary: £16 UMB
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Adhoc
Hours: 12 - 6 SHIFTS
The role will include delivering therapeutic programmes to help families recover from trauma caused by domestic abuse.
Synopsis of duties:
- Delivering an effective programme, involving delivering therapeutic programmes to families who have experienced domestic abuse
- Arranging activities and resources supporting play and social interaction for children
- Contributing to the planning and reviewing processes for the family and children's programmes and activities to ensure continuous improvement and development to meet the changing needs of the centre
- Providing support for parents, carers and their families with opportunities for them to engage in exploring faith, including linking up with the spiritual programme
- Supporting families with advice including: life skills, move on housing, facilitating school placements or signposting to external agencies/professionals
- Working in partnership with social services and other professional bodies
Essential Requirements:
- Female candidates only
- Enhanced DBS on update service or issued within the last 12 months.
- Experience of working with early years, level 3 qualification preferred.
